We liked it, this time of year the place was empty, for 4 days we had it all to ourselves, just a heads up, cooler and windy being right on the water. Wind so strong our fifth wheel was shaking. The only complaint would be is that the campground is not easy to get around and they need more signage. There is a restaurant and bar right in the campground with limited hours. Some beautiful sunsets too... We liked it, this time of year the place was empty, for 4 days we had it all to ourselves, just a heads up, cooler and windy being right on the water. We stopped by Big Water Marina and Campground this past weekend as we headed North to visit family and friends. We used our Harvest Host membership to stay here. We arrived mid day and were met by a staff member who directed us where to check in. We made our way to the store to check in but decided to park in the upper camping area and was glad we did. We used our Harvest Host membership to stay here. We arrived mid day and were met by a staff member who directed us where to check in. We made our way to the store to check in but decided to park in the upper camping area and was glad we did. There was no room to turn around our trailer in the parking lot of the store and they had the road leading through blocked for live music. After checking in, we were given a pull in site on the beach and the views did not disappoint. Most of the beach sites were occupied so we had plenty of friendly company. The sites were a bit close but we managed to fit the Brinkley in just fine. The site did have power and water. We opted for the power as to not to disturb our neighbors with our generator. We enjoyed a nice and peaceful night watching the campground kids play by the beach and enjoying a beautiful sunset from our couch. There is a small store on site as well as a restaurant and bar at the marina. We had a nice dinner and a drink or two and enjoyed some of the live music during the afternoon. If you have kids, they also have a inflatable obstacle course on the water as well as rental pontoons, paddle boards and canoes. We LOVE Lake Hartwell and every CG we have been to here. We will definitely be back to Big Water very soon.

We went here for the inflatable obstacle course! I was happy with the experience overall and the campground looked like a fun and lively environment for families. You have to get a golf cart shuttle from the parking lot because things are spread out. I did enjoy the amenities. Didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant but that's a nice touch! Plenty for kids to do. I appreciate all the littl... We went here for the inflatable obstacle course!
