Camp Morganton

my fiancé and I came to this campground for the first time in Oct ‘25 and had the most relaxing fun weekend! we were little taken back by how close the sites are to one another, but everybody camping near us was so respectful and didn’t keep us up too late. the lake is beautiful, and the surrounding area has plenty to do. the staff are great, and the bathrooms are very well maintained. highly reco... my fiancé and I came to this campground for the first time in Oct ‘25 and had the most relaxing fun weekend! we were little taken back by how close the sites are to one another, but everybody camping near us was so respectful and didn’t keep us up too late. the lake is beautiful, and the surrounding area has plenty to do. the staff are great, and the bathrooms are very well maintained. highly recommend if you’re looking to try a new place! can’t wait to come back in May.

We’ve been coming to Morganton Point Campground for a while, and this has hands down been the best experience yet! The new management is doing an amazing job — especially Katie. She’s super friendly, helpful, and really seems to care about the campground and the people staying here. Everything is clean, peaceful, and well taken care of. Our first time here, and we wanted a centralized location to all the beautiful places and things to do near BlueRidge. This campground made the top of my list in places to camp. The sites are roomy and private and right on Blue Ridge Lake. It’s gorgeous. Our spot was #7 and we would come back to it again and again. The campground is pretty basic but very nice. The campground is pretty basic but very nice. The bathhouses are great- high pressure, warm showers with nice tile. Very clean! There is no camp office, but a nice fellow comes to greet you at your site. It was a quiet place with fishing, canoeing, kayaking, (swimming if you want). The lake was a dreamy turquoise and clean.
