I recently spent a few hours at this park, and it turned out to be a peaceful little getaway. The park has a calm, open feel with beautiful lake views that instantly help you unwind. The shoreline is a nice spot to sit and relax, and there’s plenty of space for picnics or just stretching out with a chair and enjoying the breeze. It’s a good place for families, couples, or even solo visitors who just want quiet time by the water.

I'm giving it 5 because people for what it is. It's a wonderful place to go and distract yourself from the city and enjoy this beautiful manmade project. To me it's with the 5 because at the time of visiting it feels like we'll almost always have thisl access of water right here within the Metro of Atlanta. So I know sitting the water will be higher and it will be even better

Went to this place for a short hike today. It was quite lovely and the temperature was perfect. It was free to get in and they actually allow dogs here unlike other places around the dam. We will definitely be doing more walks here. It was very peaceful.

I love this park. Although there’s no bathrooms there is a near by gas station ⛽️ you can go to. This is the perfect place to make a fire, hang a hammock, and lay out a blanket and read a book. This is a perfect place for a walk or to sit and relax. Definitely 💯 my favorite park in Forsyth!

Cute little park but the main attraction is the launch ramp for boats onto Lake Lanier. Had a lovely evening sunset cruise courtesy of a friend's pontoon boat. A glass of wine, a loaf of bread and cheese and friends beside me cruising in the wilderness. What's not to like?

This is a beautiful campground close to town. The lake is beautiful but hard to get to. Almost everything is down a steep slope. It was hard to fish and shallow as they have lowered the lake for the winter. There are many deer in this park. The campsite themselves are laid out in a strange manner. Campsites are poorly maintained! Many sites had broken grills, very steep terrain with no stairs or railings and broken asphalt pads. Very small and hard to maneuver campsites with trees nearly touching your campers. We had to relocate from our original site booked due to dangerous terrain conditions. We have a smaller 20’ camper with no slide and were shocked to barely fit on the sites. We had to... Campsites are poorly maintained! We had to clean out the fire-pit from previous use to even use it for our stay. Bath houses were in similar condition with very dim lighting and partially broken amenities. As a female I was not comfortable using them at all.

Great place to stay on the water. Had a little trouble with 2 campsites away. They were partying well past quite hour (10:00 pm). My wife had to call security at 12:30 am. Besides that, it was a good place to stay. We are already play to stay next November. Love that we could go to the other side of the lake to a great restaurant that had live music

Should be a great place to stay but this campground is really in need of TLC. It doesnt appear maintenence has been a priority for years. Steps down from pads to picnic tables are rotting wood creating serious hazards. Bath houses are locked & require a code (provided at checkin) to use them; bathhouse facilities are old and need updating. Water faucets at sites are likewise old, some barely usable. And unfortunately the Joro spiders are EVERYWHERE and a huge issue in campsites and hiking trails. Positives are: the beautiful views of Lake Lanier from most sites; Entrance has small 'store' that sells firewood and an ice machine; Life jacket loaners are available near the entrance also, by the swimming beach. During our October stay we had quite a few deer around our sites - they even ate a bouquet of flowers left on the picnic table overnight 😄

016 grill has a pretty big hole in the base. We brought our own 'lumberjack grill' (what we call it), and it fit nicely over the fire pit. There's no outlet at the campsite. (No big, just a heads up.) There is an outlet in the bathroom just a little bit down the road. The bathroom is a little spidery, but that's to be expected and otherwise well kept. Wait a sec and the shower gets nicely warm! Ou... 016 grill has a pretty big hole in the base. We brought our own 'lumberjack grill' (what we call it), and it fit nicely over the fire pit. We got there a little late on Friday and they emailed info and instructions and had everything we needed in a drop box! Fantastic service! We'll definitely be back!
