My wife and I recently went up and stayed there for the weekend. beautiful place white sand beaches, nice shaded spot in the woods. Awesome walking patha and adventures around every corner. Literally

We love it here and make a point to camp here at least once a summer. This is my 3rd weekend camping here this month. I have tent camped and trailer camped and enjoyed both. The waterfront is awesome. It is a good place to bring kayaks and our canoe. The kids love the treehouse and gaga ball pit. This is a quiet place to camp not too far from town. It is pet friendly and people friendly too. Ra... We love it here and make a point to camp here at least once a summer. This is my 3rd weekend camping here this month. I have tent camped and trailer camped and enjoyed both. The waterfront is awesome. It is a good place to bring kayaks and our canoe. The kids love the treehouse and gaga ball pit. This is a quiet place to camp not too far from town. It is pet friendly and people friendly too. Ranger Leo is helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Camp Cowles if you are looking for a restful camping trip. Reservations are required.

This has a great event building. Large enough for a couple hundred people for weddings or parties. Parking is far away from the actual building so you'll need to shuttle people or they can walk down the hill. This becomes dangerous at night cuz there is no light. So you have to provide your own lighting source. There's a full kitchen, PA system and tables and chairs for you to use. There's full ba... This has a great event building. Large enough for a couple hundred people for weddings or parties. Parking is far away from the actual building so you'll need to shuttle people or they can walk down the hill. This becomes dangerous at night cuz there is no light. So you have to provide your own lighting source. There's a full kitchen, PA system and tables and chairs for you to use. There's full bathrooms as well. Be careful using Google maps as directions can be incorrect. There's two driveways according to Google maps directions. One can be incorrect so plan for that. There's an old rustic feel which is cool and unfortunately you cannot see the lake from the building as the trees block your view. That was a little disappointing. However, you can walk down to the beach where it's quite large and spacious

They have recently logged the place and it doesn't even resemble the camp I've known all my life. First they tear down a camp land mark ( Finch Lodge) the first building built on camp for the boys. Thirty years ago my father became camp ranger there. I grew up in those woods and that lodge, now it's all a memory. Very sad to see such beautiful forest and camp history demolished and it's a shame t... They have recently logged the place and it doesn't even resemble the camp I've known all my life.
