I was shocked this place existed, it feels like it defies the laws of nature, putting a lake in the valley between the mountains, but I am so grateful for the exception! We loved our little camping trip here, it was very rainy and cold, and a bit windy, but all the more beautiful. I think this place is even better when you can see the sun, but we loved every minute of this little adventure. The trails on the mountain and nearby were incredible and the facilities were well kept and clean. The roads are also really well maintained. I absolutely would recommend this as a great getaway from life.

Beautiful alpine lake, a large RV campground is located partially offset from the lake with tent campsites surrounding the lake. Be aware that the road up to the lake is closed during the snowy months.

Fun little lake to visit and fish. Beautiful views if you just want to go for a bike ride up the hill or picnic for the day.

Beautiful alpine lake. At over 8,000ft, and amply wooded, this is a wonderful oasis from the heat of the desert below. Cold winds can blow in the morning, bring a jacket. Great Lake for paddling around with lots of fish.

There are plenty of bovine roaming around and you get to get woke up early in the morning to the cows 🐄 MOOOO-ing, also the cows have no discrepancy on where they decide to take a crap or a piss, which is inside of your campground or right outside of your campground so if you don’t mind that sort of thing you know, stepping in that stuff in the middle of the night or having your dogs rolling in the cow waste and come get inside your tent with you. This is probably the place you’re gonna fit right in for you. You’ll probably love it. I myself. stayed one night and left.
