Cleanest forest service restroom we have used in a long time. You can tell the campground is not used a lot. But they still have basic amenities. Also a bigger parking area for trucks and trailers. And hitching rails for the horses. The trail is 50” or less. And it’s a tight trail in a lot of places. We lucked out and came right behind the trail maintenance guy. Such big improvements on the trail.... Cleanest forest service restroom we have used in a long time. You can tell the campground is not used a lot. But they still have basic amenities. We lucked out and came right behind the trail maintenance guy. Such big improvements on the trail. The trail is rocky, lots of switchbacks with tight corners and so much powdered dust. It is definitely not a beginner friendly trail. You will need good experience to safely make it up this. There are fire pits around most of the lakes. Some of them you can ride right to and others the trail get you near and then hike in the rest of the way. We camped around big lake. The lakes had fish in them. Be prepared for all kinds of weather and strong winds.

The scenery is great, the amount of high lakes is overwhelming! The trail is wild on a 4wheeler or dirtbike (super rocky) It has been worn down and eroded due to the large amount of people that ride there. Weekends are busy.

The ride to Long Lake on a bike isn't for everyone, but very worth the flowing downhill
