Great new campground near Billingsley creek in thousand island state park. Large grass areas, paved roads and paths. Bathrooms and showers heated and clean! There will not be a lot of shade due to new immature trees. A canopy is a fantastic idea. All 50 sites have water and electric. The inner sites are back in and the outers are pull through. This time of year in late October, not too busy so we reserved a pull through even just having my truck with a pop up camper. Not sure about peak season but all sites were the same price. Really only downside, it’s the country. So it smells like it. Cattle all around. Overall, great time. Heard the coyotes throughout the night and even ran into a porcupine on a hiking trail. Ohh and no sprinkles this time of year. Many complaints about that this summer.

Beautiful campground! It's still very new so the trees are small. Can't wait to see it once everything has grown. Great spot to base camp at and explore the areas around. Saw some reviews about sprinklers, but it looks like they have them dialed in. I wouldn't worry about them. 100% recommended just realize it's new.

This campground is large, all sites have full hookups, nice bathrooms and showers - BUT - the sprinklers there are ridiculous. Called the parks office spoke to multiple people who seem to have never heard of this happening when in fact the camp host said it’s been happening since he got there the weekend before Memorial. He’s personally contacted them, made calls, sent emails, had officials from visitors center come and yet nothing is being done. Even if you are in an RV, these sprinklers will be hitting it. No space is safe, this is at every site. It’s crazy!!! The state did a really crappy job here and doesn’t seem to care.

This place is AWFUL. I booked blindly because it said there was a new campground near thousand springs. BAD IDEA DO NOT COME HERE. Total for one night was $57! You can’t put tents on the grass, which is 95% of the campground… the staff said I could “put it on the dirt or the pavement” (?!!??? Im genuinely crashing out). Im genuinely crashing out). All the trees are minuscule and dying, they look like they haven’t been watered since they were planted. NO shade at all. Just awful… boondock it instead of this honestly. We left after setting up the tent.

We are traveling through to Yellowstone. This was a wonderful place to stop as a layover! Clean paved site, green grass great to keep the Golden Retriever clean! Not our normal camping choice because we usually do more remote or boondock m, however since we are traveling through, this is perfect! Will most likely stop on our way home.
