Lucked out with the weather lottery on a mid September camping reservation. Site "is" close to the highway and you can hear it but couldn't see it (at least from my site). Varies in size from smaller pullouts, to pull thru and even double site pull thru. The site we had was a double which was enough room for my truck, 30' travel trailer, and for my kids truck and daughters SUV. The site had two nice picnic tables, fire pit with grate, and plenty of space for the kids two tents. Asphalt road with a speed bump. Pit (but clean) toilets. Potable water sources. Camp host was friendly and helpful. Camp fires allowed in firepits and firewood bundles available for $10.

Beautiful spot. Seriously, the cleanest pit toilets I've ever experienced. The campground host is super friendly and helpful. Cash only on the spot because there is no internet access. Some sites are closer to the main road, so you can hear (not see) cars passing by. Easy access to Harriman trail for cycling. Bear territory, so be prepared to properly store food and tolietries. Fine campground. There are several pull through spots perfect for RVs. Some of the sites are very private, others not so much. Paying was weird. The campground host comes around to collect the money. He was a nice guy, but it was very different from what I've experienced before. Typically it is self pay and the hosts are very hands off (often times you are camping to get away from civilization af... Fine campground. There are several pull through spots perfect for RVs. We had a LOVELY weekend at the North Fork Campground! Jane, the campground host, was the absolute friendliest and most helpful host we have ever had the pleasure of staying with! She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! Can't wait to plan another stay here again soon! Quite a few mosquitos around in the morning and evenings right now, so plan accordingly.

There are plenty of sites to choose from in either loop. Some have river access to quickly dip in the river and cool off on a hot day. Bathrooms are kept clean and you can buy firewood from the host. Definitely a good option if you're looking for a spot.
