Such a beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors. Clean campground but very dry in September. We had a complete fire ban in effect. Walking distance to the lake which is nice.

Loved our view of the inlet - who knew Idaho had white pelicans. Camp hosts were awesome and the place was very clean. Temps were around the mid nineties in July so it was hot but having a large pine tree kept our site shaded most of the afternoon. Be careful with your pets in the shallow water because algae blooms are pretty common on Lake Cascade.

Nice campground on the lake. Good spots for tents or RVs and pretty close to get to the water. We did have some luck along the water in the cove with some perch and panfish. Rangers patrol regularly and camp host on site.

Stayed at Sugarloaf in May of 2025 and again in September of 2025. Had a wonderful time both stays. The host this year was very friendly and helpful and kept the campground looking great. Highly recommended.

Not a fan of the small Rocky tent areas. They are right next to the fire pits so that to me is NOT safe. The view is great and the boat launch is very handy. A lit of smoke this Year as the pictures show.
