This is one of my favorites from my 2 week road trip. Private & quiet camp sites with beauty all around. The lake is so beautiful and serene! Vault toilets, fyi. I hope to come back here again.

This campground is nice. Mainly for dry camping. The road in and out is very narrow. You may have to pull over to let others go by. The lake is nice. The water is so clear. There are vault toilets available. There’s also a boat ramp.

Stopped here on the way back down from Josephine Lake. This lake is very nice. Only one travel trailer there. Lots of room to camp and load your kayak in the lake. Fall Colors were beautiful. Fishing is good based on reports I read. Beautiful!!!

Mosquitoes. Our trip was plagued with mosquitoes. The water was hand pumped and didn't look clean enough to drink. Bring your own water. No garbage service, so you have to pack it out. It isn't too far from McCall so this is silly. The hosts were nice.

Classic Forest Service Campground with minimal services in a nice location. In the early season the lake is full so this is the best time to visit to enjoy the lake. In late season the lake can be quite low and is just a different experience. If you are going for hiking there are lots of opportunities nearby to enjoy so the location is great.
