This is a great campground. Lots of room to wander, river access. Fire pits a a bit small. Showers were clean and tidy. Campers are adorable and there are many of them if you dont wasnt to pull yours up or tent it.

However, this last time was not nearly as enjoyable. We stayed in the retro camper Shasta because the map showed it was directly across from a bathroom. It was not at all, and we had to walk quite far to use the bathroom. Our reservation said fire skewers would be provided (they have been every other time we stayed), but they were not. So we weren't able to eat our dinner because we planned to use the ones they usually provide instead of bringing our own. We were also told a water spigot came with our site, and there was not one. The inside of the camper was beautiful, but the battery operated light was not even charged (we charged it with our phone cords), and I just wish they had a mini fridge that fit more than two water bottles. And lastly, we stood outside for five minutes trying to get our door unlocked at 11:00pm because their lock gets jammed. And at night I would've loved to lock the door from the inside, but that wasn't an option. This camper is right next to the river, but we couldn't enjoy that either because it was full of trash. If this was my first stay I would probably be giving them a 2 star rating, but since I know not every stay is this horrible I gave them a 3.

We had no reservations for our time in Lava Hots Springs. We saw this campground from Route 30 and it looked very nice. We called last minute and they were able to accommodate our 45 foot Motorhome and our tow vehicle. The camp hosts were awesome. Very friendly and helpful. We met the owners who are just as wonderful and friendly. This is a great place?

Nice campground. Well maintained. I tent camped and everything was great. Bathrooms were clean. Showers were hot. Hosts were nice. Very close to town. There’s road noise but it’s next to the road so that’s to be expected. Next time I might get one of the campers, they looked cool.

We stayed in the Iris last weekend and had a blast! We were a little surprised by the entrance of our campsite, but it was so perfect for a couple camping on their own. I loved having air-conditioning during the day and heating at night as we needed. The campground is honestly one of the best we've seen. We usually tent camp, and there were so many spots for tents near the river that we plan to book in the future because the sites were large and well maintained. From what I could tell, there was a huge selection of RV and camper sites with electricity for each site, plus water/septic for some of them. When we have a camper we'd love to come to one of those sites. The bathroom facilities were the cleanest I ever seen, and they clean them every morning before everyone wakes up. Even the outhouses were super clean! The roads were super wide, we saw 35 ft+ campers driving through comfortably. There was one spot where they were doing a lot of work, maybe to build a new suite or host station? I'm not sure, but it was easy to get around and made me excited to see what's new next time we come. All in all, I would one hundred percent recommend this to everyone. The sites were all great, I was super comfortable walking around at night, they had amazing amenities, and I loved the weekend community they've built. I'm excited to come again and see how it grows.
