St. Regis is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.
Idaho weather can change quickly. Pack layers and check the forecast for St. Regis.

Beautiful campground. Cleanest best smelling outhouses I have ever pooped in! Seriously. It was super awesome. Bugs were minimal and the free firewood every night was great. That’s a $10 value per day and did I mention the freaking bathrooms? I would camp and poop here again.

Great little campground. Nice, private, well laid out campsites. Very quiet and the pine forest smells amazing at night. The camp host does a great job at keeping the pit toilets clean. Has two community water spigots. Definitely keeping this campground in mind when we come through this area of Montana again.

They do offer firewood free of charge. Camp host was great - very laid back. The road is paved but the parking spots are not. The sites are fairly open and flat, yet still shaded by trees. Would work well for tent or RV camping. The area is beautiful, and the sites are not packed too tightly.

A typical, but nice USFS campground. There are two loops, A & B. Each loop has 12 sites. The first six sites for each loop are reservable by using recreation.gov. There are two vault toilets and two "non-threaded" spigots in each loop. Depending on the site, there is more or less vegetation between sites. There was a guide for it when we visited in August, 2025, although it could stand to be updated as some of the details described at various stops were no longer valid.

Beautiful scenery! It is far enough away from the freeway and towns that it is quiet. 15 minutes away from a gas station/grocery store. Campsites were big enough for most RVs. Maggie, the camp host, is amazing!
