About Cable Mountain Campground (MT)

Federal campground in Idaho.

Cable Mountain Campground offers a genuine escape into Idaho's stunning natural landscape, where towering evergreens and mountain vistas create the perfect backdrop for an authentic forest camping experience. Located within the national forest system, this campground provides RV travelers with direct access to some of the region's most pristine wilderness areas, making it an ideal destination for those seeking solitude and natural beauty away from crowded commercial parks.

The surrounding terrain is characterized by dense coniferous forests typical of Idaho's mountain regions, with elevation and geography that create cool, refreshing nights even during summer months. This natural setting attracts visitors who appreciate the genuine outdoor experience that only a national forest campground can provide. Very pretty spot with a stream and lots of wildlife, but it's next door to an ATV area, so there's a lot of noise from them on the weekends.
