It's a beautiful forested campground with nice Outhouse bathrooms; good-sized, paved flat camp sites (as far as we could tell, ) that include a campfire pit, sturdy picnic table and a big hooked pole others would probably know what it's for! 😅 There was a little creek babbling along and some 🌼 little wild buttercup-type wild flowers blooming. It was just a lovely, 🌲🌲🌲 in-the-tall-Ponderosa-Pines place to be! There were a few tall trees that broke and fell in the Winter, but they will be moved by camping season. My phone died so I didn't get photos of the camp sites.

The group site at Grayback Gulch is excellent. Lots of flat space for tents, plenty of seating, good shade most of the day, nice fire pits and toilets, plus water and a dumpster. There isn't much room for trailers (you have to park in the parking lot) but we made it work. The road getting to the group site was a bit rough/washed out. Overall, great spot for large groups if people are tent camping.

The water pump worked just fine with a little effort. You do need to bring your own gazebo or something similar though. Bathrooms were fairly clean. Maintenance showed up on our second day to clean them. The only real complaint that I have is the random people that will just stroll through on a walk or on their bike. They were stopping to talk to our kids and walking right through gusts campsites.

I couldnt find the camphost but my site was beautiful and spacious. Down side, neighbouring landowners were up early cutting down large pine trees. I dont like seeing or hearing trees being cut but I guessed they need winter fire wood.
