Stayed on a Tuesday. 08-19-2025. Only three other campers. Signs on site posts indicated most reservations are for weekends. No hook-ups. Pit toilets. Dumpster. One water spigot with potable water. Camping in the tall pines was nice. Only one night. Didn’t get chance to do the hot spring but would love to come back for a two night stay. No sign on highway. Easy to miss.

Very nice campground! Most spots have plenty of room between them (not sleeping right next to neighbors). Always well maintained. The hot spring itself is pretty big, but the soaking pools aren't very big.

One of the most beautiful campgrounds in the area, and sites are actually much easier to get than at Redfish Lake 🙂. It's paved and an easy distance from Boise, so not very quiet, with generators running at any time, sometimes. The ho... It's paved and an easy distance from Boise, so not very quiet, with generators running at any time, sometimes. The hot springs down by the river are small and usually not very busy. Be very careful with the cold water and strong currents in the Payette. It is not suitable for little kids. Two non-smelly pit toilets and two manual water pumps provide services. What are you waiting for?

Campground was clean. Not too many trees so if you want plenty of shade I would recommend bringing a canopy. There are Campground host on site. You can make a reservation for campsite online or there are some sites avaliable for first come first serve as well. River nearby with a small "sandy beach". River water was super cold. The hot spring water temperature is not consistent near the river.

The campground is actually closed as of April 9th 2021 I'm hoping they'll reopen it soon it looks like it's just closed because of fallen trees. People were still parking at the gate and walking a little extra to use the springs for the day. It's about 3/4 mile from the gate at the top of the hill to the actual hot springs. There are six or seven pools varying in size and temperature most of them... There are six or seven pools varying in size and temperature most of them are not very deep at all, But they provide a great view and an awesome soaking experience. If the campground is open it is $5 for day use and I believe 15 at night to camp. Dogs are allowed on leashes in campsites but not at Hot springs. If you do decide to go this time of year and walk it is a good idea to bring toilet paper The bathrooms are open but they do not have any in them. ❤️ Have fun
