Nice campground. No host. Bathrooms maintained adequately. Lots of privacy between spots and some have views of the river. Most have a short walk to the water through tall grass. No beach and not the best for swimming but absolutely beautiful and tons of hiking nearby.

The location is beautiful - well-shaded on great stretch of the St Joe. Campsites are reasonably well spaced and private. Good fishing right behind it. Toilets were disgusting, though. There is no host and maintenance crews must not come through very often

We stayed 2 nights in early Sept 2020. Lots of trees and shrubs that provide shade and privacy between camp sites. Its close to the road, but there's not a lot of traffic on the road and there's enough trees and shrubs to create a sound barrier, so its pretty quiet. Lots of trees and shrubs that provide shade and privacy between camp sites. Its close to the road, but there's not a lot of traffic on the road and there's enough trees and shrubs to create a sound barrier, so its pretty quiet. This campground does not have a host, so it was a bit filthy. When we arrived, we had to pick up 2 different piles of dog poop, used kleenex, etc in our camp site. There was a diaper in the cooking grill. The bathrooms weren't very clean - used TP on the floor. Also, most of the camp sites do not have a view of the river or just a glimpse of the river through the trees. There are some paths to the water, but they are narrow and uneven. That said, once we picked up the trash, it was a nice, peaceful place to camp. I think this may be the best campground in the area. We saw a pileated woodpecker in the campground one morning.
