About Warm Springs Campground

Federal campground in Idaho.

Nestled in the heart of Idaho's pristine wilderness, Warm Springs Campground offers RV travelers an exceptional retreat into nature without sacrificing comfort and accessibility. This National Forest campground provides an ideal base for exploring some of central Idaho's most spectacular landscapes, where towering ponderosa pines frame mountain vistas and the gentle sound of flowing water creates a naturally soothing atmosphere.

The campground's location places you at the intersection of adventure and relaxation. Whether you're seeking outdoor recreation or simply wanting to escape the hustle of daily life, Warm Springs Campground delivers both. The surrounding National Forest land opens up countless opportunities for exploration, from scenic hiking trails that wind through alpine meadows to fishing spots where mountain streams teem with native trout. The area's natural hot springs are a major draw, offering guests the unique pleasure of soaking in naturally heated waters while surrounded by forest scenery—a quintessential Idaho experience that many visitors travel specifically to enjoy.

For those interested in outdoor activities, the region provides excellent opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing. The diverse ecosystem supports abundant wildlife, making this a wonderful destination for nature photography enthusiasts and animal lovers. The forest setting creates a cooler, more comfortable environment during hot summer months, making it an appealing choice for those looking to escape extreme heat while enjoying their RV adventures.

The campground's National Forest setting means you're surrounded by undeveloped land and natural beauty in every direction. This remoteness is part of the appeal—you'll find a peaceful, unplugged experience that feels worlds away from urban centers, yet the campground maintains practical amenities and accessibility for RV travelers. The mountain air is crisp and clean, and stargazing at night reveals the impressive dark skies of Idaho's backcountry.

This destination appeals to retirees seeking peaceful getaways, families wanting outdoor education experiences, and outdoor enthusiasts eager to explore Idaho's natural treasures. Stayed the night here and the host (Mike) is beyond amazing! He is super friendly. He helped us pick out a campsite and where to get cash since we forgot to bring some. The location is gorgeous as well! If you’re debating on where to camp this one is a great one!

Sweet little campground with friendly hosts! We just stayed for one night, but it would be a lovely spot to camp out longer. Beautiful spaces on the river in a quiet setting.

Have gone there quite a few times, in my childhood, and adulthood. Last time I was there was 20 years ago, with my daughter. But I'll never get tired of Warm River Campground. I talk about it all the time, like the camping area, and how you can also camp up by lower mesa falls. And how you have to hike to upper mesa falls. Sigh I miss you guys. I hope that I get to come back and camp there again... Have gone there quite a few times, in my childhood, and adulthood. Last time I was there was 20 years ago, with my daughter. The attendants were very nice and the area we reserved was well maintained and clean. The restrooms were always clean, best outdoors restrooms I've ever seen, and the location next to the river was incredible. We had some people come over to our reserved area and the attendants ensured they weren't in our area after notifying them. The location was beautiful and peaceful and my whole family loved... We would definitely come back. I have no complaints, anytime we ran out of supplies there was a store with what we needed 15 minutes out.
