08/11/2024 Neat little place along the Mississippi. Seen camping spots. Nice little park with a few pavilions with picnic tables and grills. There is an old steam engine on the property. Directly across the river is a view of Tower Rock which is in Missouri.

Great place right on the river. Great IF there aren't many people. If it's close to full, I would stay away, as the spots are right on top of each other without trees/shrubs to serve as dividers.

This was a fantastic location. Nestle between two foothills along the Mississippi River it provided a pictureques place to bunk down for the night. Check in was easy and well priced. I would recommend this location to anyone.

A super cool, off the beaten path place to camp. Great views of the river and tower rock! Barge traffic right close to the campground, great scenery!

We never saw a host or ranger. We checked in for 2 nights, came and went, never seeing anyone in charge. Other campers guided us to the few sites with working electric hookups.

We absolutely loved staying at Redbud Campground for the night and hiking the nearby Bell Smith Springs Trails. The sites are only $10 a night and are very primitive, there is a waterless toilet. Bring water, toilet paper, and bug spray. We stayed at site #2 and had a nice picnic table, fire ring, level gravel area for our tent and a post to hang our lantern from. Beautiful place to get away and immerse yourself in natural wonder! However, please put out your campfires! Rangers drive by every now and then and will check your registration. Some sites don’t have the best places to pitch a tent, but there are plenty of choices if you want to have a siesta in your hammock. Definitely do your shopping from home because even the nearest gas station is miles away, and it is small. You either plan ahead uber-sufficiently or you rough it out here.

Came from out of state to camp and hike this area! The campsite was nice and big which we took full advantage of. The information on the board at the campsite was different from what I read online days before but we figured it out. The toilets were OK, kind of dirty, could have been better. We were lucky enough to get an intact fire ring but our grill grate was broken off, we still made it work. I... Came from out of state to camp and hike this area! Great location for dry camping. It got really busy for hunting season and the roads in were pretty deep with mud and potholes so be careful!
