Pawnee Lake is so nice and well taken care of. If its no windy, it can be so cool for kayaking and paddleboarding. Been here countless times.

It’s our fourth time here and we love it. It’s the most clean campground we have been. The spots are so spacious and in level. So many great trails nearby. The only thing you have to prepay for parking spot if you want to park at trailhead ($18). And no internet and cell phone service.

Very nice and quiet place. Beautiful lakes, where you can walk. My favorite lake is the Blue Lake. Try to get there in August, when not all the ice on it has melted. Floating aisbergs and blue water are great. And the camp itself is very good. Warm days and cold nights, give pleasure near the fire in the summer months. Around you can see beautiful flowers, deer, moose and beautiful birds.

It was evident that they had worked very hard to clean up the campsites and the roads. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Campsites are large. Unfortunately, none of the trails appeared to have had trees and bushes cut back this summer, and they were not usable because of this - not downed trees. Kayak launch area was the same. Another negative is that showers are coin operated. The beach area was not connected to the campground.

I have been camping, fishing up here since I was a child. I remember camping one year 9 months pregnant. Best place to go when it is so hot in Denver like today. It has been years since I have been to Brainard Lake. I am going again. Retired now. Going fishing again,

My home away from home when I take my RV out. There are 3 different areas to camp in, as well as a primitive area. The Lakeview has an actual restroom, newly remodeled, with coin operated showers. The other areas have outhouses. There are no full hook up spots, but there are 30 and 50amp spots. Not fancy, but relaxing and I enjoy it very much!

We love this Campground! We had a wonderful time at site 12! It's super big for four families! We have enough room to play games! It's very clean! No matter bathroom or campsite. There is enough private space to other neighbors.! But if you want to go hiking, your campsite reservation doesn't work. You have to walk to the trail site or take a hiking reservation....

I had the most peaceful 2 weeks I've had in a long time. Nobody bothered me and i felt completely safe all by myself at night . The grounds are very well kept and beautiful. Even the bathrooms were acceptable and clean. A definite new weekend getaway spot for me!
