Nice little hidden gem. Tent sites on the banks of the cedar river. Primitive tent sites that you have to walk a trail 50 yards or so to get to. Main camp ground for rvs. Cedar river sites have a no water restroom house, 6 stalls. The chicken creek has a boat ramp for kayaks and such. Much more calm than the cedar river. Main camp has a clean bathroom with water and 4 nice showers. Very pleased. W... Nice little hidden gem. Tent sites on the banks of the cedar river. GORGEOUS! The sounds in the evening - birds, frogs, crickets - were absolutely lovely! We had the entire campground to ourselves. Camp host. Nice, clean bathrooms. Picnic table at each site. Lots of shady trees. Creek side. There are riverside camping options, and while that campground was also beautiful, there were some creepy guys just hanging out in their cars and lots of insects; plus no camp... GORGEOUS! I camped here overnight back in late September of 2021. The sites are relatively close to each other, but during this time of the year, I was pretty secluded. The sites themselves are pretty spacious. The only negative thing I want to say about this place is the amount of garbage in the woods by my camp site. I cannot believe some of the things people dump: cooking utensils, plastic chairs, etc.... I camped here overnight back in late September of 2021.
