Oregon is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.
Illinois weather can change quickly. Pack layers and check the forecast for Oregon.
Don't miss local attractions near Oregon. Ask the camp host for hidden gems and trails.

I have fun every time I stay here but I remember the hosts that were there a couple years ago were not great at running the place all it took was one person saying we weren't supposed to do something (we checked with the ranger it's allowed) and they immediately agreed we weren't supposed to so me at the time a 16 year old had to share the main bed with my gma. But since then things went back to normal and we've been having fun. It's not a super updated place but if you complane (with proof of issue) they will fix it. If your wondering about the with proof thing one time I tried to use the female outhouse at little bear and it was filled with bugs. I don't just mean a lot i mean full film of bugs flying around we told the hosts who told the rangers and the rangers checked it out... In the morning.. When the Suns out and these bugs aren't active yet. So yeah if just make sure you can proove the issue exists

This was a wonderful park, stumbled up on it by accident. They have electric but no water hook up, but they do have portable water and a dump station. The park has many trees and very quiet. The price is reasonable.

A very quiet and peaceful campground. The hosts, John and Kathy, are very polite. It would be nice to have a shower house and bathrooms though. There's a great seven mile path/road that goes completely around the lake for hiking. I don't recommend a bike though. Approximately 2 miles is thru the woods on a walking path only. The town of Nashville is also filled with polite people. I recommend atte... A very quiet and peaceful campground. The hosts, John and Kathy, are very polite. They kept exposing themselves as they were using the camp site as their restroom. Then at 9:58 pm another vehicle arrived with three to four more men. Then walking in our campsite to use the restroom. We informed them where it was. Now 10:02pm . Our dogs did bark as these men were strangers in their area. The camp ground hosts tried their best and were very friendly and polite people.
