We drive into this campground and it was a disaster! Doesn't look like it's been taken care of in a long time. Grass needs mowing. Roads are really rough. The owner/host said ok so we were taken to another spot that was worse. When we made tge reservation we told them we had 30 amp and that was not supposed to be a problem. When we got there he said that's no problem. I have an adapter I'll go get it. My husband didn't like the idea but it didn't matter. The man never came back. We had no phone service. We decided this place was not for us and made a reservation down the road. I don't know who wrote the other "good" reviews but I'm thinking friends of the owners. One of the worst campgrounds we have ever seen.

Nice people running it and good location. However, we had basically no water pressure. Said had a problem with the line to our area, but are choosing to not fix it until end of season. Also, the trees on the road to the park need to be trimmed. They scrapped the top of our motorhome.

Boy, I’m sure glad I did. It was a charming little campground. We had a little bit of a view of the river. Don was very kind and helpful. Showed us right to our spot. I can’t attest to the bathrooms. The water pressure was great but I wouldn’t recommend drinking it. It has a very rusty smell/taste. The water looked clear though. I wish I would have had a couple of days to explore the trails and just hang out. If you are looking for luxury and lots of amenities, then no don’t come here. But if you are looking for a pleasant campground near a river (remember to check about flooding before going) i would recommend. Oh, and just leave your trash at the end of your lot. They will come pick it up.

We got in late and the campground host still came out to meet us. Very affordable campsite. The showers were hot and we got to camp right beside the Illinois river. Thanks for having us! If we are ever in the area again we will stay here.

This is a camp ground. Very quiet, nice view of the river but don't expect any amenities. A bit pricey
