The park is well maintained and the camper parking spaces are comfortably sized. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The office is well stocked with camper's needs. The pool and jumping pillow were a great hit with our grandkids. While camping there, a strong thunder storm hit the campground in the middle of the early morning hours and damaged many trees. There were some trees completely blown over and many branches strewn about. The staff had the campgrounds completely cleaned up within hours of daylight. You'd have never known there had been a storm. Very impressive. The grandkids say this is their favorite park to have gone camping. It is located closely enough to St. Louis to make day trips there. We will definitely return!

We arrived a little early, not by much and upon arrival the staff said that wasn’t a problem. They did not specify that there was a $3 charge for arriving early. I wish they would have told us to give us an option. It is only $3 but it is the principle of the thing. Please be transparent about this upon arrival. Bathrooms were clean but dated. They put us next to the event center and there was music and noise til 11 pm We note the presence of permanent residents in the park. The area around has little of interest. If you have young kids, this is for you with the playground. However it wasn’t for us for the reasons mentioned and we will not be using this park again. For what it has, they are overpriced. Suggestions: remodel your bathroom. Stop charging incidental fees and bump everyone’s fee up by $3 to compensate. This will help you if you need fund to upgrade the old bathrooms. Sorry. We were not impressed.
