The host was great. The campground was spacious, shaded, clean and quite. Electricity outlets were by each site. The grills were functional and I liked their design. One thing I didn't like was there were no hooks in the washing room. A few hooks would be helpful to hang a towel, a little toilette bag or a piece of clothing. Just imagine putting any of those on a wet floor or a sink top.

If you're a seasoned camper like myself and seek a comfortable spot to break in some new camping gear this is totally worth it. (A little tip, mid week has great availability based on my experience.) Happy Trails!

An hour and fifteen minutes away from the ferry to Washington Island a definite must do day trip. Campground is beautiful and campsites are gravel based and generous in size. Hike from the campground to the lookout tower along the water, ride rustic bike trails and you can easily walk waters edge. Biking to Sturgeon Bay from the campground is a short ride. Biking local roads is scenic, so many options. Downtown is very quaint and good shopping.
