Farmington is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.

Been camping at Sam A Baker since I was in the womb. It is and will always be my favorite park. Things have def changed since I was a kid...but you have that everywhere. Unfortunately. This park is always clean. People are friendly. Its fairly quiet. River is steps away! Always a good time!

Beautiful camp ground. Well maintained. Shower/bathrooms are roomy and clean. Hot good pressure water. Some camp spots are more roomy than others. You do get some noise from the road that runs through the park but otherwise quiet in late September. Definitely will stay again.

We camped here for Labor Day weekend 2025. We loved the proximity to fishing areas, how kid friendly and safe the camping areas were, and the playground area was well kept. The only downfall I would say is the stand alone bathroom near the camping spot areas was overwhelming with the amount of drain flies that were covering the walls, so had to walk further up to the main bath house. We were told trout were here, but found none. Fishing was pretty hard to do here between the constant flow of kayaks, and only fish caught were smaller than our hand. If you come here to fish I would do research to find some deeper waters and bring different styles of baits.

It was nice not much quiet but okay. Maybe too many people and crowded at the time. Water level is so up and fast you can't sit or stand there. Nobody have provided trash begs. Didn't find the hosts to meet & greet. Washrooms okay and closed by from 095 Family basic campsite. There is dollar general store near by so you can get what you want your basic needs.
