My 2026 complaint though is that they seem more focused on seasonal sites these days and when attempting to book our yearly stay I noticed the rates jumped 25% (that's even with the various coupons available). I even called to see if there was anything that could be done as my grandkids wanted to come back, but they staff said the rates are the rates and she apologized. However, that is a significant jump when you're booking multiple sites and cabins. Thus this year and most likely future years we will be camping elsewhere. That said, great place if you don't mind spending the extra $$$.

We rented a cabin and stayed for a weekend, pet friendly options. Wheelchair accessible options. So fun! We went for a halloween weekend and the kids really enjoyed the craft shed, trick or treat, putt putt, and the arcade. They loved painting pumpkins and gem mining too!

We stayed for one of the Halloween weekends. The sites are a decent size and loved the indoor pool. The sites are a decent size and loved the indoor pool. This is the first time at this location so maybe it was just a bad time to visit but the issues we had were.... 1. They don't deliver wood to your site unless you are buying at least 4 bundles. This is unusual because for one, this is a large park and for two even the cheapest campgrounds are willing to deliver firewood. I've never seen a minimum requirement. 2. They charge for every single activity except for the hayride and haunted trail and they don't provide a price range so you just show up and find out in which some are cash only so make sure you have cash. 3. The staff is not really willing to find out or point you in the direction of anyone that can help answer your questions. They just tell you they don't know. This did not just happen once, this happened with a few different employees. 4. We didn't see any of the bears anywhere in the park or at any activity. I guess the only way to see the bears is to pay for a visit from them. It was not hot so not sure what the deal was but very disappointing and not typical for a jellystone.

Our experience at Jellystone Barton Lake was not as enjoyable as we had hoped it would be. This is the third Jellystone campground we have stayed at in Indiana this past year and it was our least favorite. The shower houses were not clean, the staff was not helpful or particularly friendly. We asked a few staff members questions over the weekend about specific activities or hours/restrictions and no one seemed to know the answer or even willing to find the answer for us. The 5 mph speed limit is not enforced as it should be for safety. The property was not very well lit, which made taking small children to the bathroom in the middle of the night a bit challenging. It seemed like almost every activity (including the bears or not) cost an additional fee. Even the night time hayride cost extra. Which is not what we've experienced at the other Jellystone locations in the past. After spending almost $1000 for the smallest cabin and golf cart rental (which you will want because the property is huge and there's not much parking available anywhere) for the weekend, you would think most activities would be included for free. We likely won't return to this location. I hope if you visit you have a better experience. I do want to give a shout out to Abbey, that works at the food counter in the ranger station, she was the most friendly and helpful staff member we encountered during our stay.

Love coming here for Halloween camping weekends. The haunted trail is fantastic. It's so fun to see all the creative campsites and costumes and everyone just being friendly and all here for the true camping experience, where kids can be kids and make new friends. This feels like the last bit of true Americana that is left, and it's so well worth it. Happy camping everyone!!
