Very nice campground. The lake is larger and allows ski boats, jet skis, etc., which makes for more traffic on the lake and more noise than some of the smaller lakes. Places like this are the reason we prefer to camp in Iowa instead of Nebraska. The showers are FREE, too! We were in site # 48, 9/18-9/22/2024.

We love Blackhawk state park! 1. The bathrooms are nice and clean which makes for a good camping trip 2. The city of Lake View is a great town to be in. It has all the amenities you would want in a small town (small grocery store, gas stations, Dollar General, 2 restaurants, and a delicious coffee shop). 3. The lake is busy but not over crowded. 4. The camping spots are pretty big! Last time we went however we were in a smaller spot so we’ve made note of some larger ones for next time! 5. The campground hosts are so friendly and helpful. Great campground only a few hours outside Omaha.

Relaxed on shores of lake, beautiful places to sit and chill with lovely sceneries. Those who enjoy fishing it is a great spot for them. You may visit the park for fishing, boating, hiking, biking, picnicking, beach, mini golf, boat ramps, shelter, kids play areas and campgrounds. Water in the lake is green due to algae.
