The park and campground are beautiful! When we arrived, there were no campers in the large campgrounds. It was amazing; very peaceful and quiet. Trout fishing was excellent. The creek was beautiful, with large pools separated by fast-moving riffles. Then between 1:00AM and 2:00 AM arrived. A train (sometimes two back to back) would arrive and load Then, when it left, it blew its horn excessively... The park and campground are beautiful! Other than the train(s), the pit toilets, and lack of showers, it was a perfect place to camp!

Really nice campsite. Has no amenities besides port a potties. Had to bring in water too. Stayed in campsite 20 and loved it. Had a screech owl come visit at night and saw a young eagle the next morning. Saw fish in the creek and people fishing. Quiet area even though by the train. There are hiking trails nearby.

This park has some beautiful camping sites along the creek. The all looked primitive - no water or electrical hookups. No shower house from what I saw and only vault toilets and porta potties. The hiking trail is a bit challenging but beautiful - moss covered rock outcroppings, overlooks. So happy I took a chance on it. Will go again as there is more to explore.

This is a place my family has gone to since I was a child.
