My week-long stay at Under-the-Stars was fantastic! Rod & Kathleen, the owners, were so kind, warm, and enthusiastic. The atmosphere was wonderful -- quiet, fun, and serene. The setting was amazing: wildlife everywhere, the beautiful river, white cliffs, and the clean & well-maintained grounds!! I'll most definitely be back!!!

We aren't avid campers, so without gear to bring we opted to try one of the glamping caravans (#59). It was sweet, though nearly too small for my 5'10'' partner. Also, while a charging brick was provided it didn't work. Due to our checking in after 7p on Saturday and no staff on Sundays & Mondays, we couldn't get assistance with it. Not a huge deal in the end. The rec room was cozy and had plenty... We aren't avid campers, so without gear to bring we opted to try one of the glamping caravans (#59). The general store within had common camping items at a reasonable prices. However, the night sky's view from the meadow was spectacular and the grounds are very well kept.

Over all it’s a nice campground. Each group of sites has a port a potty, they were clean. Sites are very close together. Our neighbor a couple sites down ran a generator all day until quiet hours so that was annoying to listen to. The shower house is in the Rec room 2 shower stalls in each men’s/womans (free when I was there). Didn’t do a river trip because I thought $30/person just for the shuttl... Didn’t do a river trip because I thought $30/person just for the shuttle was a bit much when you have your own equipment. They also charge $5/dog for “insurance “. Picnic tables could use updating, ours was very rotten. Also watch for ground hornets! I saw 2 holes full of them in one of the campsite areas.

Lovely place to stay out in nature! Had a little tent spot right by the river that was beautiful. Staff were friendly and accommodated us last minute for kayak rentals and shuttle.
