Honey Creek State Park Campground

We had a great time exploring from the car. We have been touring Iowa and her State Parks this year. We will be back to the cabins or the resort here soon. Would like to get some fishing done here and there looks to be a lot of choices for boats ramps and shore fishing alike. The shelters were all well kept and the fall foliage was breath taking. Not far off the beaten path and there are hiking trails and things to explore that I plan to come back and see.

We appreciated the park's dog-friendly policies, which allowed us to enjoy the company of our furry friend throughout our visit. The policy is to keep your dog on a leash and pick up after them. Went from honey creek to buck creek east to check out the changes this year like the entire buck creek east is 5mph. What a change. The beach water there was 80 degrees.
