Found this gem by total accident. There are 14 camping peninsulas with fire pits that include a flip-over cooking grate, a boat ramp, and decent restrooms. The camping sites are really great. We didn't have fishing gear with us, but the fish were extremely active and jumping all night long. Will definitely be going back to try the fishing. It's a great spot overall, but I will say not completely quiet and peaceful. Trains go by several times a night very close by and are not quiet. Also, on a Saturday night vehicles were regularly coming and going. The road that goes around the lake to each campsite does not connect back. Since there is no outlet, vehicles will drive all the way around and all the way back if they don't find a spot. There were at least half a dozen late arrivals after dark on a September Saturday night. It was a pretty quiet peaceful morning the next day (besides an occasional train of course.) It's free, first come first serve, and a decent lake, so the pros outweigh the cons for me. Will be going back to try the fishing!

Not just for fishing. The small camping spots stick out into the lake giving a great space for viewing the night sky away from the tree line. The lake is also far enough from any city for great dark sky. I believe each site has a fire pit and grill. The roads are not great but worth the destination.

This is a nice place to go camping. Very quiet does not offer any utilities. But if you're looking for a nice getaway, it's a perfect area. Neighbors are quite distance apart. So you feel like you have your own privacy. You do have a grilled area for a fire pit area on each section. Fishing is wonderful.

Nice fishing and camping lake. No swimming but good for those fishing and camping trips. Boat ramp and small dock here. Unique fingers that stretch into the lake for camping and fishing. Nice lake. Rough section of road coming in. Came to see the eagles that nest around there. Spotted close to 2 dozen plus red tails, seagulls, and a cormorant. Campsites are generous and very level. As well, plenty of trash because your fellow campers just don't understand what it means to tidy up.
