These are good people! The only issue we had, Sabetha is somewhat of a food desert, especially on Sunday. We look forward to coming back.

Let's start with no elevator to get to the second floor, you'll be carrying luggage and down stairs. The rooms were clean and simple. We had double beds. The rooms were clean and simple. We had double beds. The room was situated on the backside of the hotel which was very hot during the day despite the ac going. No phone in the room. The vent in the bathroom comes on and it's loud. Traditional key and lock. The view out the window was cool. Nothing but a field and the the skies. The lobby was dated. The guest attendant was extremely, unbelievably rude and was caught sneaking into our room and tried to hide it by removing the do not disturb sign and returning it to inside the room in the door knob. She had knocked and I didn't answer because the sign was on there. So, she decided to just open the door up as I stood there in my birthday suit. It was startling, shocking, unnerving, and made me very uncomfortable and upset. She asked if we didn't need anything but I was too caught off guard to even really respond and I nearly slammed the door on her arm. Fortunately for her when she scared me doing that I froze instead. I let her know that I wasn't dressed and that no we didn't need anything. She mentioned smoking being not permitted and that was the first I'd seen or heard either way if it were. She threatened to charge an $150. Having stayed there 3 weeks I made sure to clean that room as if it were my job. The room attendant ended up calling and complaining to my husband's boss. The entire situation was grossly mishandled. There was a slight attempt to redeem from the owner introducing herself to me and was very friendly. She was friendly, would greet me and even asked for a hug when we departed. They never had to wash the sheets And towels because I did that myself. The room attendant said we refused housekeeping. If it was ever offered it was when she asked did we not need anything while I stood there vulnerable and threatened. They added a charge and ultimately padded 225 dollars for charges. Despite the obsessive cleaning I did during the stay and prior to leaving. The attendant had given me dirty looks and was outside the room in view during her shifts every time I came out the room. Including chasing me down the hall once but said nothing. Did it just to look at me with disgust. The feeling was more than mutual.

Needed to stop for the night and chose Rock Creek Hotel after reading reviews of hotels along our drive. The lady at the front desk was really sweet and friendly. The rooms were clean and had everything needed. Liked the 4cup coffee pot in the room. Gave thw room a 4star just because they are not totally updated. A great place to stop for the night!

For Sabetha this was a decent hotel. Very clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating when you asked. The 2 stars on service was simply due to them not having enough help. Every time you went the desk, you had to ring a bell and wait. The same person running the desk is doing laundry and cleaning rooms. Additionally the only ice machine was broken and so you had to ask for... For Sabetha this was a decent hotel. Very clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating when you asked. After 11:00 there is no one there.
