Milford is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.

New ownership is awesome and they are very responsive if needed. The fishing was great and the partying at night was so peaceful. We stayed up very late on her birthday and nothing was said about the noise. We usually don’t stay up that late, but who wouldn’t on a 50th. We created memories that won’t be forgotten and will be back very soon. Thank you Flagstop for giving my partner and I a great time

I was in the area for work. My company provided a camper for me to stay in throughout the summer months. Before I arrived I was injured. I broke my leg in 3 places and dislocated my ankle. Before I arrived I was injured. I broke my leg in 3 places and dislocated my ankle. After surgery I was non weight bearing for several weeks. Going up and down the camper stairs was a nightmare I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Being alone didn’t help the situation especially since I had my 9 year old Golden Retriever with me. One of the staff supervisors knocked on my door one day and scolded me for not picking up after my dog. I had been for the most part but I admit I hadn’t gotten out there a time or two because of the difficulty of going up and down the stairs. After his visit I was on it everytime since my stay was longer than most I wanted to stay on good terms. Then one day the General Manager Bill knocks on my door and proceeds to yell at me about it. He said I’d been asked several times which I hadn’t. I was approached 1 time about it. He then told me that it was all over the place. I asked him to show me where it was because I wasn’t aware of any and if there was any, I honestly missed it. He walked over and pointed at the ground where there was nothing. He then threatened to kick me out if there were any more issues. It’s pretty easy to act tough when the person you’re talking to has a broken leg and is clearly not a threat. From then on I made sure to clean up after my dog immediately and I kept to myself. I didn’t want anymore false accusations or issues with anyone. A month or two later I had been out of town and when I returned, the same day, I got another visit about it. I hadn’t even been there and there were multiple dogs in the area that other people owned. I guess if they shit near my camper that’s my responsibility as well. At no point was I ever asked politely. My company paid $800 a month + electric for me to stay there and I was treated like an inconvenience instead of a customer.. The store is never opened steady hours. They just close when they want to. Half of the amenities they advertised weren’t even available. Now they didn’t charge my company card for their storage fee until a month after I left and are treating me like it’s my fault the payment won’t go through. I’m off season for work so my card isn’t active anymore. It would’ve been fine if they charged it when they closed down/ I left for the winter. Not my fault but in true Flagstop fashion I’m being threatened that they won’t keep camper on site if it isn’t paid. These people are something else. I hope no one else has the experience I did and if you have a dog with you make sure you catch the shit before it touches the ground or Bill might come see you. It’s funny he didn’t come close to talking to me like that when my leg was healed.

Just camped Flagstop with friends and family from 7/28/22 to 8/1/22--it was a great time, campground is clean and well maintained, the team at the check-in and convenience store were friendly and very helpful. One small water hook-up issue but the maintenance crew came in 5 minutes of our reporting it and had it taken care of! We will definitely be back!!!

This is the most expensive campsite we have ever been to. I had high hopes for this place because we have friends who have come here for years. While I loved having our friends close by, here were the disappointing points: 1. Our kids were questioned by multiple staff members (because they were riding bicycles not golf carts) if they were currently staying at the resort. 2. The pad on our site was terribly un level. 3. The dumpsters were so full everyone piled their trash all around it. 4. Getting “visitors” access was a pain and the staff was semi-rude to our guests. 5. The beaches are riddled with garbage and lots of broken glass. 6. Children as young as 8 or 9 driving golf carts. 7. There appears to be no noise curfew or it’s not enforced. People driving around with loud music and yelling at each other on their golf carts all night. 8. Sent our son To the camp store to purchase a sewer hose since the issues we had with the pad not being level meant we didn’t have enough (with 2 hoses already) to connect to the sewer drain. They sold us a hose with no fittings. When my husband tried to return it(never removed from the box) they wouldn’t take it back. They don’t sell fittings either. 9. Canceled our next reservation (3 months from now) and there’s a $10 fee. And here’s the positive points: 1. They have a great playground for kids! Way too expensive to be this disappointed. We will stick to state parks.

Great place to bring the kids for a weekend, or even a week. The prices are not as steep as Acorns Resorts down the road, much more affordable. Book early, they do fill up quickly over summer. Definitely a must-stop spot if you’re passing through — peaceful, family-friendly, and full of small-town charm!

Pulled over for gas and stumbled upon this hidden gem of a campground! The hospitality here is top-notch, and the store is well stocked with everything you might need. We got a tent site at a very reasonable rate and were pleasantly surprised by the walking trails and beautiful views. Peaceful, clean, and welcoming — the perfect stop to rest and recharge. Highly recommend!

I stopped to grab some food and noticed that there wasn’t any pizza. To my surprise, the ladies took the initiative to start a fresh pizza for me. I felt very special, especially since I was having a rough day. They were very friendly and the place was very clean. I highly recommend this place.

This place is great for travelers. In addition to their weekend camping and rv park, they also have primitive campsites, a shower house, and a general store. I stop here when I go to see my parents to sleep for the night and it has everything I need to get a hot meal, a good night's rest, re-provision, and get back on the road. Staff is always wonderful and very friendly. Park is very clean.

Great little gem in the middle of Kansas. Shower house was clean and convenient, spaces were pull-through (always a plus for me), paved roads, super-clean, convenient to Abilene and all its activities. The camp store was well-stocked and not over-priced, and had convenient open hours. Definitely somewhere I want to stay again!
