It’s a very nice KOA with staff who go the extra mile—someone even guided us directly to our site, which made arrival smooth and stress‑free. We had a small issue with wasps, but it was taken care of immediately and professionally. The campground itself was set up perfectly for our RV. It was easy to pull in, get hooked up, and head out when we were ready. The facilities were clean, well maintained, and clearly cared for. Overall, it was a comfortable, well‑run campground, and we would definitely visit again.

When we heard about their "covered wagon" cabin this spring, we couldn't wait for our fall trip to the area to visit family. The covered wagon was great. On a rainy night, we could hear the drizzle of rain pattering on the canvas. The room was well appointed with refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, a bunk bed, a queen bed, small table with two chairs, and plenty of towels in the bathroom. While we didn't take advantage of them during this stay, the campground seemed well configured for family fun: a swimming pool, volleyball net, pedal car race track, mini golf course, playground and and a dog park were a few of the amenities that we saw. There were also laundry facilities and a store in the office which had a little bit of everything (including ice cream and pizza).

This one's over a year late. In September of 2024, we did a 'cross country' RV road trip to visit the kids in Kentucky and Tennessee. We did our best to only stay at KOA's which made for a fabulous trip. Even though most we're only one night stays, we really enjoyed the visits. Kansas City was great and we plan to make another trip next summer and stay at Kansas City East.

Camper spot is nice, faculty very accommodating and friendly, the noise from interstate 70 sucks at times, trucks using engine brakes. Laundry on sight, bathroom/shower always spotless. Price is fair

Since we don’t live too terribly far, I decided to check in right at 1 to get our set up started before returning later with the family. I honestly thought we’d be able to get a better site by being there right at check in too. I was wrong. They decide who goes where, before you arrive. They take zero consideration into how many people and nights some are staying. One would think 4 campers staying 3 nights would get a better site than 2 people staying one night. As I drove to look for our site number (87), a man in a golf cart greeted me before I even parked. I immediately mention the lack of shade compared to every other tent site surrounding us. He said “it will be shaded soon.” This was 1pm. The shade happened at 7pm (which would’ve been 8pm or later in July). When I expressed my concerns AGAIN he then said they had a full campground and *some* might have requested specific site numbers. HIGHLY doubtful. This isn’t some desirable place people flock to repetitively. You can tell some campers live there full time and most come through for one night in the middle of their travels. So no option to try to make it better (1 star service IMO). Considering we watched people come and go for one night at a time in their nicely shaded spots while we continuously ran from the sun, I wasn’t happy. One..possibly two sites never had campers in it and they were so perfectly shaded. The pad to put your tent on was too narrow so we had an awkward drop off inside of the tent. The gravel made it impossible to stake anything down. I did voice my opinion on the terrible site to two other employees. One offered to look to see if another site was available but it would’ve taken so much time to move all of our stuff since we were already settled. The only reason I didn’t give a 1 star review was because they did cater to our kids. They had a foam party which was so fun and wagon rides (along with the bounce pad). The peddle cars are not free. Didn’t even see mini golf but I assume it wasn’t free. I knew going in that there were frequent complaints of highway noise and that’s true, it is loud, but I expected it. We packed a sound machine. Photos of each of their sites would be helpful. Normally I do a ton of research to make sure I pick the perfect site. That wasn’t an option and I will never go to another campground where I can’t choose. We left a day early.
