Beautiful spot with picnic areas, fishing, scenic vistas, and lot of playgrounds for the kids. It’s remote, so pack a picnic, but lots of fun.

We wanted to share a Sunday lunch under a small shelter with a few friends. So nice to find one just above the dam. We enjoyed it, and especially the Clean tables with convenient trash receptacles being close. We left it as we found it, so someone else could have the same happy experience. Thanx for your work that made it such a pleasant, shady and cool location.

However the lake was not very clean (a lot of floating trash) and there really isn't any good info put up at the info board. I also tried to call someone and it was impossible to get anyone. One thing I was VERY upset about was, my father-in-law is handicapped. He lost his leg in the middle east and it was almost impossible for him to get to the water. We tried several places and we finally found a floating dock for us to walk out on to fish. There was a sign saying "No fishing from the dock" but we had been over that lake 2 times trying to find a place for him to get to the water, to no avail. There needs to be ways for handicapped people to enjoy the lake as well. (Those of us whom are too poor to own a boat)
