What a gem! Little Patch of Heaven Campground in Bardstown is the perfect peaceful escape. The sites are spacious, level, and well-maintained with full hookups, plus the restrooms and showers were spotless. Sandy and the team were incredibly welcoming and helpful with local tips—especially for bourbon trail stops nearby! We loved the serene lake views and quiet atmosphere. Pet-friendly and relaxin... We can’t say enough about Sandy & Sheila! Both went the extra mile to be helpful and welcoming. I called in advance (having no idea about Bardstown being the Bourbon Capital of the World) because how could you not want to experience A Little Patch of Heaven? Sandy literally had me at “hello”! We enjoyed our stay so much we ended up staying an extra night. Bernheim Forest Preserve was spectacular!... We can’t say enough about Sandy & Sheila! Sandy made us feel like family! I now understand why loyal campers keep returning!

We had an amazing experience at Little Patch of Heaven. Sandy truly went above and beyond—checking in on us multiple times to make sure we were comfortable, offering thoughtful gear advice, and sharing great recommendations on places to go, things to do, and where to eat. The common areas are well maintained, and the lake in the back adds a beautiful, peaceful touch to the property. You can tell a lot of care goes into creating a place where guests feel genuinely welcomed. We’ll absolutely be back.

Where to begin with this place… They charge $950 per month, which is by far the highest rate we’ve encountered while traveling for work across the country. For that price, the Wi-Fi was extremely unreliable and only worked part-time. On top of the high monthly rate, nearly everything comes with an additional fee—including charging extra if you have a dog, even just to use the grass. When it came time to check out, refunds were essentially nonexistent. Over the past few days, several hard-working pipeliners have been out well over $1,700 combined due to the campground’s refusal to issue reasonable refunds. One welder paid the full $950 only to have the job shut down two days later and was refunded just $200, and only after a heated dispute with the campground host and owner. We left two weeks early, as did a friend, and neither of us were offered any refund. The lots themselves are very small, with little to no yard space. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere unless you’re prepared to lose a significant amount of money if your job ends early. Even more disappointing is seeing a family currently staying there who is struggling financially. Instead of allowing them to move into spots that are already paid for through the end of December, management is choosing to evict them. Overall, the owner appears far more focused on money than on fairness or basic human decency. Unfortunately, this is not a place I can recommend.
