KOOMER RIDGE CAMPGROUND

We reserved a space to camp at this campground and were very pleased with our stay. The site was very clean with a level small gravel pad that can accommodate multiple tents. Each area had a large picnic bench to utilize as well as a very functional fire pit that comes equipped with a grate that you can use for cooking. Trash and bathrooms were easily accessible. The main bathroom area has showers and the area was very clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

Spacious, wooded campsites with a pretty decent bathhouse. BUT--bring your own water. It's a total crapshoot as to whether there will be potable water available at the spickets scattered throughout the campsite. We camped Memorial Day weekend, and the water came out yellow, no matter how long we let it run. We stopped by last weekend (Labor Day) and checked the water before committing to a campsit... Only mentioning because a few negative reviews mention the bathhouse. . .called ahead to make sure bathhouse was open. Forest service called back and assured they were. Clean and in nice condition. I stayed in the middle of the week. The campsite was quiet and peaceful. campsite was nice and the campgrounds were located in close proximity to areas of interest.
