KOA Horse Cave

Wow! Simply wow! Friendly check-in was EVERYTHING! My site needs were more than accommodated and the office/store was immaculate! Did use the restrooms, but cannot imagine they fell short of spectacular. Super easy on/off the highway and even though it is close to the HWY it was still quiet and tucked into a wooded backdrop. We pulled into our site around midnight and found our site to be small and full of ruts from water run off with no barrier to stop us from going over the edge. The back of our camper hung over a 30foot drop. We started auto leveling and site was so soft and un level our jack slipped off blocks and bent. We asked at the office the next day to switch sites but were told none were available, even th... We pulled into our site around midnight and found our site to be small and full of ruts from water run off with no barrier to stop us from going over the edge. The back of our camper hung over a 30foot drop. We started auto leveling and site was so soft and un level our jack slipped off blocks and bent. We asked at the office the next day to switch sites but were told none were available, even though the campground was not even close to full. Our next trip was a level paved site; same thing happened with the jack. We had our camper looked at and found the entire frame was bent, no doubt from the initial bending of the jack. We’re having insurance investigate our options so we will be advised on how to proceed with this. So disappointed that an unkept site caused this. Road noise was excessive. On a positive note, bathrooms were the cleanest and nicest I’ve ever been in.

Great for a one night stay, I 65 is very loud. Great dealing with the women who worked there. Went to do laundry and 2 out of 4 washers and 1 out of 2 dryers not working. Waited for a man to start his laundry and time it out mine would be ready to go in the dryer when he was done. The man came back and told me that it takes at least 1.5 hrs to dry.
