About Group Camping Area

Campground in Louisiana.

Louisiana's Group Camping Area offers a wonderful escape into the heart of the state's natural beauty and cultural richness. This public campground welcomes RV enthusiasts looking to experience authentic Louisiana hospitality and outdoor adventure without the crowds of larger commercial facilities.

The camping area provides an excellent base for exploring the unique landscape that makes Louisiana so special. The region is characterized by lush vegetation, waterways, and that distinctive Southern charm that visitors travel from across the country to experience. The campground itself maintains good facilities for group camping, making it an ideal choice for families, clubs, and organizations looking to gather and create lasting memories together.

One of the greatest appeals of staying here is the access to Louisiana's incredible natural attractions. The state offers remarkable opportunities for outdoor recreation, from fishing and boating to wildlife observation and nature walks. The diverse ecosystem supports abundant bird watching opportunities, particularly for those interested in migratory species and native Louisiana wildlife. Water activities are a major draw, whether you're interested in kayaking through scenic waterways or simply relaxing by the water's edge.

The surrounding area provides plenty of reasons to venture beyond the campground. Louisiana's cultural attractions, historic sites, and local cuisine draw visitors seeking an authentic regional experience. Small towns and communities nearby offer genuine local flavor, farmers markets, and dining establishments where you can sample traditional Louisiana cooking. The hospitality of local residents is renowned, and visitors often find that exploring these areas enriches their overall camping experience.

The group camping setup makes this location particularly valuable for those traveling with extended family or larger parties. Rather than spreading across multiple campgrounds, groups can stay together while enjoying communal spaces and shared experiences. This format encourages a sense of community and makes it easier to coordinate activities and meals.

Whether you're planning a multi-family vacation, a club outing, or a reunion, this Louisiana campground provides the setting and amenities needed for a comfortable, memorable stay immersed in one of America's most distinctive regions.

People who lived there told us they only. Paid about $800 a month to live there full time. All the amenities sound great. Went to the office to talk to them about rates and couldn't get a straight answer. Rates change constantly and they couldn't quote us for next year they said it could be 800 a month or it could be 1000 a month. People living there said they have an dult pool and bigbhot tub but they're closed all winter regardless of the temperature outside. They also said the hot tub gets full of children who are not supposed to be in it and nobody monitors it so you go there and it's full of kids and no room for adults. If I was expected to pay that much I would want to use the hot tub and the pool when there was nice weather and not have to wait for "the beginning of April" is what a resident told me.

It is a beautiful place, a lot of fun but $20 for a frozen burger? Sonic has a bigger and better burger for $7. I understand convenience but $20? Then the older blong hair lady working tha front desk is either hot or cold. Never warm. She is either sweet as a peach or nasty as spoiled milk.

Nice park overall, but a major issue with site assignment and communication. A couple days into our stay we got a call saying we were in the wrong site, that they had to refund another guest, and that they thought they might need to call the police. The problem? We parked exactly where our parking pass and campground map directed us. We followed their paperwork — this was clearly an internal mix-up, not something we did. Mistakes happen, but the accusatory approach and mention of police over their own site assignment error was unnecessary and stressful. If you stay here, confirm your site number directly with staff before setting up, even if your documents look correct. We were not in a pull-through, but wanted to note that we noticed the roads between sites are extremely narrow and the sites very short. Larger rigs especially may find maneuvering uncomfortable. We were in a back in along the main road to get in and it was quite noisy. The speed limit is 35 and many people speed beyond that as well as larger vehicles shook the camper while passing. Also worth noting (not campgrounds fault): the water had an overwhelmingly strong chlorine smell — stronger than we’ve ever experienced while camping.

Our friends were here 2 years ago in December and said there were bands every weekend, a hot tub, activities of all kind, for $600. We called months in advance and paid $800 and an extra $15 to have campsites next to one another. We get here and we have an rv between us and were told it was impossible to put us together because someone else requested that site. We got our $15 refunded and that person left 2 days later. We were never told when we made the reservation that there was construction going on with dump trucks waking you up at 5:30 every morning. We were told by the nice staff that it was a last minute decision. The I-10 highway noise was horrible! There were bands the 1st weekend and the park was totally filled up for only that weekend, so they only came for the music and we were lucky to even get a place to sit to listen to the music. There's absolutely nothing to do here inside the park. You have to do your own research and drive to all the events miles away. The CT restaurant and a dognut shop are walking distance, so that was nice. Families who came for a few days seemed to enjoy the lake and all the concrete for kids to ride bikes. Their phone recording says you will never be "bored" if you stay here. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!

We book online for spring break, heads up nothing is open. It's hot out and the kids want to go to the pool but they aren't open until April. We left Sun Resorts where we enjoyed the pool to come here for a DEAD rv park. This may be an rv resort after April but right now it is a very basic rv park. Just a heads up before you make the same mistake we did!

We spent one night here on 2/28/26. Great little park with full hook ups close to I-10. It's clean very reasonably priced and has pretty much everything you would need. I would bring earplugs since it is close to I-10.

This is an easy campground to stop and stay off I-10. It is so much more than a convenient stay though. The people were amazing and even provided a great breakfast before we got on the road. I will think about those biscuits and gravy until I stop again. 😄

Absolutely one of the friendliest people we’ve had a chance to meet. Great sites and plenty to do in the area. She even let us know how to get to them. Very clean and no trash anywhere. Next best thing to being home
