Perfect place for fun things for the kids to do and the adult to just hang out. The RV sites are level and we have stayed at some that weren't, make set up a breeze. It is our go to campground by which we judge all others. The Baileys, Holden La

We camped in our 30' Airstream in the N campground. Sites are level and reasonably spaced. Nice playgrounds for the kids, good / well maintained hiking trails. Lots of bike riding areas.

A definite Kodak moment.

We arrived at the park after the office had closed and didn’t realize it until we pulled in. We never received a phone call or email explaining the after-hours check-in process, which I’ve always gotten at other parks, so it didn’t occur to us that we’d be arriving after closing. We never received a phone call or email explaining the after-hours check-in process, which I’ve always gotten at other parks, so it didn’t occur to us that we’d be arriving after closing. (We got there around 5:30/5:45 on a Monday). When you pull up, the sign at the camper check-in area simply says “Overnight guests check in when office is open.” Nothing there indicates that you also need to walk up to the side of the building to read several printed notices. One of those signs mentions that after-hours guests must check in with the host to get a gate code, but again, it’s not visible from where you actually stop your camper. We also had no idea that the front gate would be locked at night. We discovered this only after returning from New Orleans around midnight and finding ourselves locked out with no after-hours or emergency contact number for the park. It was frustrating and honestly concerning from a safety standpoint, especially thinking about what would happen if someone inside the gate had an emergency and needed to get out quickly. Thankfully, we were able to call the sheriff’s non-emergency line. They confirmed our reservation and provided a gate code so we could get back in. I didn’t see anything in the reservation confirmation/receipt email or on the website stating the gate would be locked at night. While it’s on us for not walking up to the window to read every posted notice, clearer communication from the park would have prevented the situation entirely. When we checked in the next morning, the staff member was very kind, though she mentioned frustration that no one had called the day before (she hadn’t been working then). Aside from the check-in and communication issues, the park itself seemed nice. The campsites are a bit close together, and some of the bathhouses could use updating, but overall it seemed to be a pleasant place to stay.

Beautiful campground! We arrived after midnight and called beforehand so they gave us the gate code. It’s been very quiet. There is plenty of room at our site. It’s close to restaurants and other businesses. We saw deer in the park daily. Great close proximity to New Orleans and beaches in Mississippi.
