Desert Dunes of Maine Campground

A lovely winter getaway! Our cabin was so cozy and comfortable, stocked with all the amenities. The campgrounds were quiet, and the little 24/7 camp store is such a nice touch. And really appreciated being able to bring our dog 🐕 Also really impressed with the overall branding of this place - the design of the cabins, the signage, the cheeky writing of instructions - everything is such a vibe. This was such a beautiful cabin and a very nice area. We came in the winter so I wasn’t able to see any of the ocean or lake, but they are a lot cuter in person than they were on the website. Not that the photos didn’t do them justice! It came with the materials that were listed online pots pan silverware. The lights were really cool, and I love that they were automatic. I told my partner it was most definitely GLAMPING! Great for romance, great for friends! Very close to Portland Pier, NH, areas. The couch was very comfy!!!

I stayed 3 nights at site 18 in October 2025. It was absolutely perfect. There were plenty of towels and linens and warm blankets. The bath house is so clean and nice, and I wasn't freezing cold when I got out. The toilet in the cabin is in a little closet, just right but cold if you leave the door closed. Plenty of privacy with the provided curtains, if you want it. Large bed was comfy and cozy. Chargers easy to use on built in shelf by the bed. Coffee and etc in the cabin was more than enough and made everything even lovelier. The heat pump over the bed was just right for me. I wasn't looking to rough it, I wanted to relax and I did. I liked it so much Im going to ask them about bringing a retreat there in 2026. Photos are spot on accurate. They owners are clearly hilarious and committed to quality. Well done.
