Wonderful people, food, service, and location. We stopped for lunch and some gas along our snowmobile route and found a place we’ll visit every year. Gas price was reasonable, and the family, dogs, and staff couldn’t have been friendlier. A must-stop!

Wow, do not miss this family run campground! We stayed in the yurt, which was a welcome respite from the rain that day. The family also serves delicious hot meals at a very reasonable price. The coin-op showers were clean and had plenty of hot water. Highly recommend staying at Matagamon Wilderness Campground!

Stopped in for breakfast sandwiches back in 2021. Been dreaming of them for the last four years. Finally got to go back today. Just as good as remember. Their homemade bread is phenomenal. A highlight of our Baxter visit.

The food is nothing short of phenomenal. For dinner between the family members we tried the burgers, pizza, and steak sandwich. All were absolutely fantastic with the burger probably coming out on top. We picked up some Whoopie Pies for later and they were the best I've ever eaten, especially after a long hike in the park! On the way out we all got breakfast sandwiches, which were also amazing. Literally the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had...like a recent review said, I'll be dreaming of the food until I can return. We may have picked up a couple of extra Whoopie pies for later, but they didn't last long!

Thank you for hosting us in the yurt after the rainiest bike ride of my life. Excellent accomodations, excellent food, excellent people and tell Mossy and Maggie I said hi.
