We spent a month at Camp Meade RV Park and truly feel this place is a gem. The sites are clean, spacious, and well laid out, no complaints there at all. The issues are with the shared spaces. The game room is often messy, and the laundry room regularly has detergent spills, lint, and pet hair left behind. The sites are clean, spacious, and well laid out, no complaints there at all. The issues are with the shared spaces. The game room is often messy, and the laundry room regularly has detergent spills, lint, and pet hair left behind. As dog owners, we always wipe down the washers and clear the lint traps after every load; we just wish others, especially fellow pet owners, would do the same. A few long-term residents also aren’t keeping their sites neat, and there doesn’t appear to be any enforcement. Because this is a military-only park, we should hold ourselves to a higher standard. Simply clean up after yourself!! Another small courtesy… try not to leave bright white string lights glaring all night, as they make it hard for others to enjoy a peaceful campfire. MWR should assign someone to make daily rounds, enforce the standards consistently, and have a supervisor conduct spot checks to ensure the work is actually being done…“check, recheck, and check again!” Camp Meade could be truly outstanding if the common areas and rule enforcement matched the quality of the campsites, and I say this out of respect and appreciation for the benefit we’re fortunate to have and enjoy.

Everything was very nice the people from MWR walked us through the reservation process with these and even though it was a holiday weekend and there was nobody in the office they gave us the access codes to the bathroom and the RV parking area. Everything was very nice the people from MWR walked us through the reservation process with these and even though it was a holiday weekend and there was nobody in the office they gave us the access codes to the bathroom and the RV parking area. It was funny in the morning because it's been awhile since I've been on a military installation and when they play reveille in the morning us old retired civilians don't usually get up that early LOL one of the officers at the 24-hour gate on Reece road had no problem but the next week when we came through the officer then seemed like he was making up rules as he went along? As a disabled veteran he told me that I have to have disabled veteran with the service related disability rating on my driver's license as well as my veterans ID card I've never heard of that.

We totally enjoyed our stay. The bathroom/lounge/laundry is very clean. The sites are level and a nice size. The camp store staff is friendly. Fast food and gas stations are close by. The grounds are kept up and sites are full service. You have to have served or sponsored by a service person prior to your stay. We'll be back.

I would have given this location a higher rating. The overall recommendation is that you should think twice before committing to a stay longer than a week. Why? The overall recommendation is that you should think twice before committing to a stay longer than a week. Why? The ODR customer service and the requirement to move to a different spot really dampened the experience. The base is very nice. The RV park itself has standard FHU sites with good spacing. However, during our June stay, the grounds were significantly overgrown. The biggest inconvenience is the required RV shuffle. For some reason, almost half of the RV campers are required to move to a new spot weekly. For those who stayed for weeks, some have had to move up to 4 times in a month, despite the fact that their current spot will remain open for several days after their move. No one knows the reasons for this RV square dance each week, but many opine that it is an ODR power trip and hope that the command will look into ODR's justification for this operation practice. So think twice before committing.

Quiet Shaded Park, Never seem to cut the grass. No after hours staff. Grass growing in the patio areas. No place to boat or kyack. Not much for children to do at the campground. It's ok.
