I stayed 3 nights in site #1. Not all of the sites are conducive to van camping. But in my opinion, the campground is absolutely perfect. The showers weren't open yet. The vault toilet was fine.

Our family comes here pretty often. There’s no service but it’s nice to just disconnect. The sites are decent. I’ve only ever used the out houses, which are pretty clean for what they are. Maybe could install a hand sanitizer option for on your way out but i just bring something in with me. (Closing of the lid is very loud, i refuse to touch it with my hands) It’s definitely More noisy in the fall... Our family comes here pretty often. There’s no service but it’s nice to just disconnect. The sites are decent. I’ve only ever used the out houses, which are pretty clean for what they are. Maybe could install a hand sanitizer option for on your way out but i just bring something in with me. I've enjoyed Elizabeth Furnace for 30 years! Great with the kids... Been great with adult kids! It's been 5+ years, but planning to go soon! Plus the trout are delicious! About the only fresh water fish I enjoy eating! As always, when going to wild areas, educate yourself about the wildlife, to mitigate any unwanted interactions!! It is common for bears, and other critters, to scavenge at night!

I've enjoyed Elizabeth Furnace for 30 years! Great with the kids... Been great with adult kids! It's been 5+ years, but planning to go soon! Plus the trout are delicious!
