I came in to camp for a quick weekend trip. I am extremely thankful to the staff who helped me out when I arrived after dark on Friday night in the rain. The gentleman that helped me out stood there with his golf cart lights shining on my goal stopping point and then stood there with flashlights in the rain while I made multiple adjustments as I ran back and forth from my truck to look at the spot to get things lined up. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't use my dog gate panels and that there were no off-leash areas for dogs to potty, but we made due and had a nice weekend. The sites are pretty, they're wooded and have some decent space between sites. We'll be back.

Rented a cabin and it was pretty gross to say the least- the window AC unit was completely clogged with dust and it blew out dead bugs onto the pretty pink futon. Mattress felt like laying on a cardboard box on top of springs. We literally put blankets down on the living room floor and slept on the floor because it was more comfortable. More dead bugs in the coffee pot and surface areas. The cabin... More dead bugs in the coffee pot and surface areas. The cabin was just a huge disappointment especially when they’re charging hotel prices. I have bad asthma and woke up after night 1 with a bad cough and day 2 I woke up with a respiratory infection. Left before sunrise because I couldn’t take it anymore. PLEASE CLEAN THE CABINS before charging people $150 a night for them. Maybe get a half way decent mattress, too. The service in the office/store on the other hand was great. Everyone who works there was very kind and their pizza is really delicious. I get anxiety about complaining and I figured we were out and about during most of the day anyway. Just hope this review gets taken seriously and staff prepares the cabins better for future guests.

The bath house is clean and well taken care of. They have facilities to help you take care of your bike and wash it off. The only thing to be aware of is that there is a pretty significant and long hill to climb to get to the entrance of the campgrounds. Also, cell signal is pretty weak around that area so I would suggest printing out the riding directions before you go so you can find your way. There are a few turns off of the towpath to get there and it can be a little confusing. Also, they don't advertise this, but the tent sites near the bath house have electric and water on them so that is a nice bonus for recharging your stuff and topping off water bottles. No need to filter, it's potable. I would definitely go back and highly recommend.

If you are riding the C&O towpath, want a place to camp with hot showers and are willing to walk up some seriously steep (but short) hills, stay here. We did. Zero regrets. Bathhouse has been remodeled. Showers are hot with great pressure. Campsite was perfect. Camp store well stocked. Jim and Cary (Kerry) were awesome and super helpful.
