Con: No pool, No shade trees in our area and the sites are packed together. Pro: All the guests are friendly and willing to chat with you. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The campground is well maintained and clean. The seasonal sites are all well kept and add to a comfortable and peaceful feel. Overall we would come back.

Basic RV Park. No amenities. Nice place to camp and visit the "local ruins".

The staff (owners) were willing to stay late to make sure we settled in OK! They seem like good, honest, friendly people, and I had a nice conversation Saturday afternoon for 20 minutes or so when I bought firewood (only $10 for dry, seasoned, all you can load in a wheelbarrow). For just the three of us, our site was a good size. For my immediate family of 9 (7 kids, my wife, and I), it would have been too small - but there was a big field I believe they could go run around. No playground that I saw, but I didn't ask. I'm sure if I had asked for a site for that size family, and with a little notice, they would be willing to accommodate. I didn't need to level the camper side to side at all, and still had room to stay hooked up (site M2). Gravel strip for your camper from the road to the back of the site. Full hookups (my spot had a 30 and a 50 amp plug) and everything seemed maintained well (didn't try the cable TV). I had a corner lot so I had no trouble backing in. I might have if we were diwn one of the aisles, as the roads aren't too wide. Perhaps with patience and a spotter it wouldn't be too bad? Biggest thing is the bath house was CLEAN and heated! The showers were warm - not as hot as I would like, but still comfortable. It was a toss-up if more water came from the shower head or ran down the wall, but that's a minor maintenance issue. The place is QUIET. We are here on a rainy, end of season weekend, which may play a part. I get the distinct impression most of the people here are seasonal or permanent. Sites looked well maintained, and every spot was booked. Overall, I would definitely come back. Not sure if they could handle my large family for our next stay, but if they can, we'll be here. Family owned and operated with care and pride! Just please turn up the water temp and tighten up the shower heads :-) . BTW, love the "7 1/2" MPH speed limit sign! Definitely got a chuckle on that - much better than a boring "5 MPH" sign.

Our stay at Double G was pleasant but cramped. The overnight/weekender lots were narrow (approx. 30 ft wide) making it very close to your neighbors rig. This also necessitated moving the campfire rings out by the road leaving you with an overall feeling of a lack of privacy. The lots were just deep enough to accommodate at Class A rig. You have to park your vehicle across the street in an empt... Our stay at Double G was pleasant but cramped. This also necessitated moving the campfire rings out by the road leaving you with an overall feeling of a lack of privacy. The lots were just deep enough to accommodate at Class A rig. You have to park your vehicle across the street in an empty lot. As with most campsites, the seasonal campers get all of the primo lots with trees and shade, while the overnight/weekender lots are wide open with no shade. The morning/afternoon sun will blast the passenger side of your trailer, but the evening/sunset will be shady if you have your canopy out. The lots were fairly level gravel/grass lots and utilities were good. Lots of cable tv channels available and free wi-fi - though you are requested not to stream on it. Our AT&T service had excellent signal strength and speed. Our views were less than appealing with views of everyone's vehicles parked in the lot across the street, a rundown volleyball court and beyond that the backside of a house facing Mosser Rd. Road noise was minimal and overall quiet. The owners were very nice and the seasonal campers we engaged with were pleasant. You can get a wheelbarrow load of firewood for $7.00 plus tax. There is a general store there but I'm not sure how well it is stocked as we were not allowed in it due to Covid. The restrooms/showers were also closed due to the pandemic. Very convenient to Deep Creek Lake and WISP Resort which is just down the street.
