I've been coming to PWPF camps for 20 years. The scenery is beautiful. They keep the cabins rustic and as original as the can to when they were built, but they also provide modern necessities. The camps history is very interesting, I've had some of the cool rangers tell me about it. Most of the rangers and hosts I've met over the years have been great. I attended this camp, as the ‘Camping Instructor’, in the summer of 1977 when I was a sophomore in college. Back then it was called Camp Pleasant. I took the campers on overnight camping trips. I have taught my kids, and many friends, some of the songs we sang at Camp Pleasant. It was great fun!

I had an absolutely fantastic time doing a tooth man saw demonstration / participation at the Heritage Fest in Prince William Forest Park. The children just loved using the two-man saw and taking a piece of cedar wood to have it stamped with the Prince William Forest Park marking.

Large camp for large gatherings. Do expect summer camp type atmosphere, no heat no ac.
