Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA Holiday

This is the gold standard of KOAs. Our first stay was in 2024 in one of thier cabins. It was stupendous. The cabin is well equipped, perfect for a family stay, and close to the restrooms (which are immaculate). We have now had the pleasure of staying at this KOA five times each one better than the last. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional. The grounds are well kept and the amenitie... This is the gold standard of KOAs. Our first stay was in 2024 in one of thier cabins. It was stupendous. The cabin is well equipped, perfect for a family stay, and close to the restrooms (which are immaculate). We have now had the pleasure of staying at this KOA five times each one better than the last. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional. The grounds are well kept and the amenities are abundant. We have now stayed utilizing a tent site (no hook-ups), the cabin, and the luxury cabin. All are worthwhile, but thr luxury cabin takes your stay to the next level. It is clean, well furnished, and worth the price point. We highly recommend staying here during one of their holiday events, especially Halloween. During our stay in 2025, the staff put on hayrides, a trick-or-treat, a haunted trail, free crafts, and a pancake breakfast. If you are planning a vacation to the area or just want to go camping there is no better KOA. This one is a destination on its own. We look forward to our next visit.

Amazing campground! From the staff to the grounds, the walking trails, the activities for the kids, the well stocked camp store, the golf cart delivered PIZZA……but most of all the quality of care we were shown this year (9/2025). We stay at this campground for my daughter’s birthday every year and this year the staff went above and beyond. My parents told the staff it was my daughter’s birthday an... Amazing campground! We stay at this campground for my daughter’s birthday every year and this year the staff went above and beyond. My parents told the staff it was my daughter’s birthday and asked when the hay ride was, they said that it was closed. But, they opened it back up for her as a surprise. They not only opened it, they picked us up at our site and drove us around twice! On our adventure every campsite was yelling “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”!! It was so special! They told everyone checking in what was happening and so many people participated. It was so magical. That was the best surprise ever! This place is amazing, the staff is amazing! Thank you!! We will always remember this 🥰

We were not there during peak season so we did not fully take advantage of all the amenities. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were especially taken with the beautiful chickens - not loud just cute. The camp was well laid out and organized. We enjoyed our site, being close to the restrooms and laundry room was great.
