The campsites were really nice and mostly far apart, with some exceptions. You can’t drive to your campsites, so you do have to haul your belongings in wheelbarrows, which isn’t difficult but something to be aware of. The best part of this campground is the easy access to trails and other Trustees properties (Doanne’s Falls, Jacob’s Hill, and Royalston Falls). One sad thing is that, as of October 2025, Tully Lake is practically empty due to the intense drought; according to staff, this is the lowest water level in over 50 years since the lake was created by the US Army Corps. We had a lakeside campground, so it was a little sad to see the empty lake, and we hope to return in a season where a drought isn’t creating this condition.

Walk-in campground. Hard to get a lake spot but sites are very private. The location is awesome. For activities, you have plenty to do! Bring or rent a kayak. Lots of hiking trails and a dirt bike path. Absolutely beautiful area! The only downfall is one shower in the bathroom. Very clean well kept campground.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. We've been back 3 years in a row. If you are lucky enough to reserve on the day it opens, you can book some really nice waterfront sites. The lake itself is really great - you can rent a kayak or canoe from the store and paddle around to all of the islands, chilling out, exploring, or just going swimming. If you are lucky enough to reserve on the day it opens, you can book some really nice waterfront sites. The lake itself is really great - you can rent a kayak or canoe from the store and paddle around to all of the islands, chilling out, exploring, or just going swimming. Be forewarned, that you can't drive up to the sites, so you do have to lug your stuff out. They provide garden style carts that you can use to move your gear, which is nice. At night, it's pretty quiet - there's no real road noise and even the wildlife was pretty quiet. Bathrooms are good for a campground - clean and well stocked. They have showers as well and they are free. The staff are pretty friendly and the camp store has items that you might need if you forgot something. They sell firewood as well, all reasonably priced. Last time we went, it was the middle of heat wave and they dropped the price of the Klondike bars for people, which was a nice gesture. Other campers there are pretty friendly, although there's limited opportunity to interact.

Great camping experience! Tully Lake is beautiful, and paddling down the East Branch of the Tully River is quite an adventure. Amazing way to connect with nature, fish, swim, etc!
