A 5 star review from me! I stayed in the Solstice Retreat (Yurt) for one night to see in the New Year. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anybody fancying something a little different! I called the number on arrival and was immediately met by a lovely friendly gentleman and shown where to go. The yurt was all set up ready to go. I was asked if I needed any logs/kindling for the stove etc. I brought my own firewood but I understand it is available to buy on-site. That night the temperature fell below freezing, but the stove kept the yurt quite toasty and warm. You'll need to add some more logs through the night to keep it going. Nice comfy sofa and bed, electric lights, fridge, kettle, spare power outlets etc. I was able to check in at 3pm, and the site manager was very relaxed re check-out time. The power did go off in the evening for a short while (the site was quite busy), and the site manager immediately came to check on me and let me know an electrician was on their way. It was fixed in about half an hour. Impressive stuff! Overall, this was a lovely stay. Expect basic facilities on site, but it exceeded expectations on every level. I am looking forward to many return visits! Cheers!

Friendly welcome, with the offer of a free upgrade to a gold pitch, unfortunately they were not very exciting for our taste, being just a large hardstanding with nothing around them (probably perfect for some). Site is in need of some TLC, appreciate it was nearly the end of November, however a tidy up and some maintenance is well overdue (leaking service taps / no hose at the chemical waste point or lighting). The gents toilets and showers... (as you may have read on other reviews) are in serious need of upgrading (we decided to use our own facilities). They claim to be cleaned twice a day, I did doubt that based on the same muck and hair being there day after day. The ladies newer block was not to bad. The washing up area was reasonable, with a microwave and kettle for campers. However the fridge was disgusting! I don't know when that was last cleaned out. As we had our own facilities we still enjoyed our stay, and would consider returning as the site has so much potential. I appreciate it won awards but that was 10 years ago, and I feel they haven't kept upto that standard. Excellent location for Stonehenge.

I stayed in a tent with friends and there was ample space for the winter solstice but I’ve heard it’s a bit of a squeeze in the summer solstice. The toilet facilities were great as were the washing up facilities. We arrived by bus from salisbury (about 30 min journey but runs infrequently) and got taxis to Stonehenge. The staff have said for next year they are going to charter a shuttle bus for both solstices to help people travel there and back.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway in upstate Massachusetts, with easy access to Boston, Salem, and even New Hampshire/Maine. Thank you to SSMM for the great experience, making our fall camping trip one to remember for a long time.

It’s very wooded, so our Starlink didn’t work great, but we had fantastic T-Mobile service. The trees made it tight for our 45’ class A, but that was really just for our short stay in the pull through site. Highly recommend sites 67 or 68! Very private! We are fully contained, so I can’t vouch for the bathhouse. The pool was already closed when we were there for our longer stay, but they have an arcade and game area. The dog park was also nice. The location is nice; it is easy access to I-495, it’s about 45 minutes to Boston, and it’s within 30 minutes to Concord and other historic towns. It’s also close to a commuter train into Boston. There are numerous trails and paved rail trails in the area. TIP: If you’re towing a vehicle, I highly recommend stopping at St. Anne’s Catholic Church down the road to unhook/hookup. They have a huge paved parking lot, and it was much easier than trying to unhook in the campground.

Friendly staff, easy booking. Really nice well maintained campground..the site we had #6 was perfect for my Camper and it had enough room to drop the back door on my toy hauler. The place is clean, the bathrooms were very nice. Shower was awesome, plenty of hot water. I think Spacious Skies location is my favorite so far, I've stayed at about a 1/2 dozen. We will be back again.
